A Creative Alternative to Traditional School

Evergreen Learning Pod is a homeschool support program for students in grades 3–8. We offer a calm, structured learning environment with a creative and flexible approach for families seeking something different from traditional school.

Classes run Tuesday through Friday, with a maximum of eight students per class. Our instruction follows Oregon State Standards and includes reading, writing, and math, with integrated science and social studies.

What Makes Evergreen Different

  • Small group size for personalized learning and strong relationships

  • Project-based learning driven by student interests

  • Quarterly thematic units that connect academics to real-world ideas

  • A calm, home-like classroom designed for focus, comfort, and creativity

  • Inquiry-based teaching that encourages curiosity and critical thinking

Our Themes for the Year

Each quarter centers around a theme that shapes all core and project learning:

  • Quarter 1: Community

  • Quarter 2: The Natural World

  • Quarter 3: Looking at Our Past

  • Quarter 4: Planning for Our Future

Themes are guided by essential questions and shaped by student input, helping learners build knowledge in ways that feel relevant and meaningful.

More Than a Classroom

Evergreen is a place where students feel safe, valued, and inspired to grow. We prioritize connection, creativity, and confidence, so that every learner can thrive academically and socially.
